2 interceptions and a forced fumble No offense to Arizona quarterback Kurt Warner, who had a fine game, but the Cardinals defense, namely linebacker Karlos Dansby, put Arizona over the top, handing the Cardinals a 31-21 win over the Detroit Lions at Glendale. Dansby made a huge difference in the game as he intercepted two passes and forced a fumble. But also give credit to the Cards’ defensive line; they gave up a total of - get this - minus 18 yards in total rushing yardage. Karlos will not see action in week 7 against the Washington Redskins as he continues to undergo treatment for a sprained left knee. His return to the Cardinals lineup is unknown at this time but is expected to be in the next 2 weeks. Dansby joins safety Aaron Francisco as inactives due to injury. In addition, Arizona announced that quarterback Kurt Warner, defensive end Joe Tofoya and safety Adrian Wilson are questionable. Wide receiver Anquan Boldin is expected to return to the lineup this week after missing the three previous weeks with a hip injury. Before sustaining the knee injury in the first quarter of last week's game against Carolina, Dansby had recorded 44 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 1 pass defended and 1 forced fumble in five games. |

The Panthers pulled away in a 25-10 win Sunday by scoring 16 points in the fourth quarter, with a pair of crucial Cardinals’ breakdowns playing a major role. The first came when cornerback Roderick Hood believed he would have safety help over the top while trying to cover Panthers Pro Bowl receiver Steve Smith. Hood virtually stopped on the play, allowing Smith to run untouched under the ball for a 65-yard scoring play and a 15-10 lead. “I played the wrong coverage. That’s just me,” Hood said. “I’ve got to make up for that. I have to make that play. I take that as my loss.” READ MORE |
