Dansby and Cards Open Mini-Camp with Good News The electricity surrounding this year’s edition of the Arizona Cardinals took another jolt on Thursday as the team announced all 2006 home games have been sold out. While team officials have not announced exact numbers, it is believed that the Cardinals have surpassed the mark set in its inaugural season in 1988 of 55,000 season tickets sold. Long known as the NFL’s leader in least attendance per game, Arizona is reaping the benefits of moving into a new stadium and a good draft class that is garnering more national attention. For the first time in years, the Cardinals will begin the season at home and will be featured on national broadcasts twice this season. That number could increase with the NFL’s new flex-TV scheduling that will take effect in November. Karlos and his teammates have been at team headquarters this week taking part in voluntary workouts. Mini-camp got underway this morning and will continue through Sunday. Karlos has been nursing a hamstring injury and may see limited action during mini-camp. Arizona will kickoff their 2006 campaign on September 10 as they host the San Francisco 49’ers at the new Cardinals Stadium in Glendale. Karlos’ take on mini-camp coming next week. |

He became the first Cardinal linebacker to record two interception returns for a touchdown in a single season and finished the year with the first 100+ tackle season of his career with 103 in 2005. He also added four sacks and three interceptions in 2005. Dansby was one of only five players in the NFL in 2005 to record more than three sacks and three interceptions. Having proven himself to be a key component in the Cardinals young and explosive defense, Cardinals fans can look forward to great things from the former Auburn standout this season.
